Robbie Wooten - President/CEO

Robbie's golf industry journey began in 1993 as an assistant golf professional in Orlando, FL. Within two years, his passion and leadership earned him a General Manager role. Observing rapid golf course expansion and clubs struggling to retain members, Robbie saw an opportunity. Armed with a degree in Computer Information Systems and a minor in Business/Marketing, he brought a tech-savvy approach to golf marketing when most clubs didn't know where to start.

In 1995, Robbie founded Golf Creative Co. (formerly Impact Golf Marketing) in High Point, NC, delivering creative, results-driven marketing solutions. His company quickly earned a reputation for innovation, helping golf courses, resorts, and industry leaders elevate their strategies and dominate their markets. With an emphasis on relational partnerships over transactions, Robbie has built long-lasting client relationships filled with success.

Robbie and his wife of 27 years, Julie, are enjoying empty nesting as their two kids—Ashton and Ethan—thrive as young adults. He's active in his church and serves at a K-12 Christian school.

Chris Engler - Director, Web Services 

Chris Engler is a web developer with 17 years of experience at Golf Creative Co., where he’s spent his career building, maintaining, and improving websites that are both functional and user-friendly. With a background in marketing from The Bryan School at UNCG, Chris brings a well-rounded perspective to his work, blending technical expertise with a strategic understanding of branding and the overall user experience.

When he’s not working, Chris is either chasing after life with his wife, Jessica, and their three daughters, or escaping to the workshop where sawdust is the only thing talking back.

Whether he’s developing websites or spending time with the people who matter most, Chris brings the same dedication and attention to detail to everything he does.

Taylor Morgan - Director, Social & Digital Media

Taylor helps lead digital and social strategy at Golf Creative Co., building the systems behind social, email, and more! Her love for copywriting started early, watching her dad work in marketing and realizing how powerful words could be when used well. That curiosity grew into a passion for writing, creativity, and helping people reach their goals, eventually leading her to earn a BA in English with a minor in marketing.

Taylor’s first hands-on experience came writing social content for chiropractors, where she learned how to connect with real people (not just algorithms) and fell in love with the impact it had on their businesses.

When the opportunity to move into golf marketing came along, it felt like a full-circle moment. A family connection and shared community introduced her to Golf Creative Co., bringing her back into the same world that sparked her interest in marketing in the first place.

When Taylor is offline, you can find her trading screens for knitting needles and outdoor time in Washington with her boyfriend and their Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Maisy.

Carole Soxman - Senior Consultant, Special Projects

Carole is a graduate of Douglass College at Rutgers University, earning her degree in Public / Administrative Communication & Business Economics. Her 30+ years of hands-on sales and marketing experience include positions as sales administrator, sales manager, marketing director, sales and marketing director and vice president of sales and marketing. She has worked with public and semi-private golf clubs, golf resorts and a multi-course golf management group, providing Carole with a broad scope of golf industry sales and marketing skills. Her areas of expertise include event / wedding business consulting, market research, database management, copywriting, as well as email and social media marketing.

When not working (which isn’t very often), Carole is active in her church community, singing with the choir and as a soloist. She is an expert chocolatier, avid gardener and cook, boater and recreational golfer. Carole also serves on the Board of Governors in her community.

Dave Baysden - Brand Design Partner

Dave Baysden is a golf and landscape painter who specializes in acrylics, watercolors, and digital design. After a 20-year career in engineering ended during Covid, he transitioned to pursuing art full-time. His professional background includes: 

Specialties: Painting golf course landscapes and producing digital logos and illustrations for golf properties. 

Major Commissions: Official artist for the 2022 Presidents Cup, 2021 US Senior Amateur, and 2023 Arnold Palmer Cup. 

His work has been commissioned by prestigious clubs including Bandon Dunes, Quail Hollow, Pinehurst Resort, the Arnold Palmer Foundation and the Dormie Network.

Kennedy Hawkins - Marketing Intern

Kennedy is from Eastern North Carolina and is currently a sophomore at High Point University studying Sport Management and Legal Studies. A Presidential Scholarship award winner, Kennedy is extremely active on the HPU campus participating in the Sport Management Association and Women Leaders in Sport. She is the Treasure of NC student legislator and delegation and serves as Captain Ambassador for HPU. Kennedy participated on the HPU Rowing Team as a freshman. She loves to play golf in the warm months and snowboard each winter.

Tucker Cosby - Marketing Intern

Tucker Cosby is from Tequesta, Florida and is currently a junior at High Point University with majoring in Sport Management. Tucker was awarded a Presidential Scholarship at High Point University. Tucker wants to work in the Golf Management field after college. In his free time Tucker likes to play golf and play pickleball. He is also a member of the Club Pickleball Team and the Sport Management Association.
